The winning Tigers travelled by bus on Monday with stops at Beachport and Southend also on the itinerary. Tantanoola clinched the MSEFL “Magoos” title with a solid 15.10 (100) v 7.8 (50) victory over Port MacDonnell. It was the club’s 11th reserve grade premiership following previous wins in 1984, 1985, 1987, 1988, 1989, 1994, 1999, 2000, 2006 and 2013. Mules, brother of coach Ben and fellow teammate, Chris, Jon wanted his milestone kept quiet so as not to distract the club from the more important item on the day’s agenda, the premiership playoff. 150 BIG ONES: Kalangadoo’s Jon Mules played his 150th senior game with the Magpies in Saturday’s MSEFL grand final win over Tantanoola. In what proved to be a flawless day for the Mules family, all three brothers played and all collected premiership medallions. Officials and teammates of Kalangadoo feted Jon Mules appropriately on grand final night for his 150th game milestone.
