North and South are evenly matched, sharing the results with two wins apiece in the home and away season. A five goal margin in the Tigers’ favour in the second semi-final was the largest winning margin either side has achieved this season. North is chock full of talent with SAPSASA state representatives Tyne Bosko and Nyah Allen holding down the key positions at either end, while Olivia Patzel is a perfect partner in crime for Allen in the shooting circle and the accuracy the two displayed in the second semi-final victory was impressive. Hannah Nulty is another key for the Tigers with her hard running in the mid-court, while Tayla Wilson-Smith is an unconventional but effective defender who places great pressure over the ball and has a reach that sees her get to the seemingly impossible ball time after time. South’s key playmakers are defender and reigning association best and fairest Jordyn Adams and goal attack Imogen Walker. Adams is a fierce competitor and has the ability to create turnovers with monotonous regularity and her pressure over the shot and ability to rebound any missed Wishing the Roos every success! Go the Roos Brian Smith Transport Pty Ltd Committed to Mount Gambier Brian Smith Phone: (08) 8723 0266 24hrs Fax: (08) 8724 9691 Depot Mount Percy Road, Mount Gambier STAR PERFORMER: South Gambier’s Jordy Adams. opportunities will be critical. Walker is the general of the attack line with her netball smarts and her incredible work ethic and she returned to some outstanding shooting form in the preliminary final. The pace and agility of midcourt player Ruby Hickman and the tenacious defence and versatility of Claudia Edmonds will also be critical, while the return of Jessica McGregor to the line-up adds good pressure over the shot and strong rebounding ability to the defensive circle. There is no reason not to assume this will be another epic arm wrestle between these two teams with South to secure a narrow win, spurred on by its lack lustre second semi-final performance. rt N &N po HUDSON 655755 655768 655804
