BOWL 35S Strong field for men’s fours THE annual Landmark-Banner Mitre 10 Men’s Fours was held on Thursday at the Millicent Bowling Club with a strong field contesting the competition. Competition format was three games of 12 ends each with prizes awarded to the winners of each round and first, second and third prizes for the overall accumulative scores. The competition saw 11 teams from Millicent, two teams from Mount Gambier, plus one team each from Beachport, Port MacDonnell, Robe and Kalangadoo participate. The skippers of the individual round winning teams were: Round 1 - Glenn Schapel (28+4); Round 2 - John Scudds (28+16); Round 3 - Terry Barnes (29+10). The overall accumulative winning teams were: Rod Gibbs, Iain Campbell, Alan Correll and Brentley Thomas, first, (83+31); Derk Pietersma, Wayne Burris, Peter Hyland and Rob Chambers, second, (83+23); Bruce Pettman, Clive Stevens, Cliff Elton and Paul Ryan, third, (80+12).
