History proves Millicent is the toughest opponent in the Western Border Netball Association and will not go easy on the Cats this weekend. Its attacking line-up of Donna Denton and Danika Jolley is unstoppable and the Cats’ Tayla Guthrie and Abbey Shannon will have their work cut out. Both Jolley and Denton are deadly with accuracy when in the goal circle. The Saints dominate all over the court with their defensive line-up being just as strong. Alex Walker and Hayley Dunn have an eye for intercepts and will be on the hunt again this Saturday. Her timed drives and accurate finishing are a key to the Cats’ success, while her shooting partner Madalene Cleary is growing into her role in the circle. Cleary’s willingness to work hard, contest every possession and move the ball as often as is needed until a good shot opens up, makes her another important player in the game. If Cleary spends any time in the goal attack position she generates good defensive pressure and can often create those rare offensive turnovers. Murphy and Cleary will have to be sure their shots are accurate this weekend as any missed opportunities will soon be snapped up by either Walker or Dunn. In the mid-court Millicent’s coach Lisa Duldig will be a pivotal player using her knowledge and vision to keep control of the game. While the Cats will not give in easily the Saints confidence and talent will get them over the line by a reasonable margin.
