a GrEaT day FOr EVEryOnE aT pOrT MacdOnnELL! 11aM - 8pM On ThE FOrEShOrE Sunday March 12Th 2017 11aM-8pM The 2017 Port MacDonnell Bayside Festival (Platinum Sponsor: Mount Gambier and District Community Bank) gets underway at 11am as amateur athletes through to the casual runner test their endurance in the Sportscene Bayside Fun Run. Catering for male and female in three categories - Open, 16 and under, 12 and under - runners set off and finish on the Western side of the festival site. With presentations to be made immediately following the event. Residents will also be eager to test their strength in the annual Octopus Throw which gets underway at 3.00pm with great prizes up for grabs. This unique competition draws strong interest from locals and visitors. Punters will also have the chance to test their range in both the Jim Beam Bourbon Toss and Bacardi Rum Toss which will be held in front of the Port MacDonnell Football Club and Blok Winery bar area. Sponsored by the Bellum hotel. The Port MacDonnell Lion’s Club will be measuring the efforts of participants in the senior and junior Bungy Pull with awesome prizes this year from local businesses. Live music will take place throughout the rest of the day. The 2017 Port MacDonnell Bayside Festival program is jam-packed with entertainment for all tastes. 11.15 - Jordanna Jones - Country, contemporary artist from Mount Gambier. 2015 CMAA Acadamy Of Country Music Graduate and 2016 Winner of the Yamaha Battle of the Youngstars. 12.30 - Lizzie Coke - events singer from Mount Gambier. 3.30 - Gavin Riddell - from Portland, playing an eclectic mix of anything and everything from the 60’s through to Top 40. Playing with special guest Matty hawthorne on the drums. 2pm & 5.30pm - Any Other Sunday - Still a relatively new band that plays an extensive range of music. But with over 20 years of combined experience playing all over South Australia and Victoria the boys pride themselves on high quality sound and high energy performance.
