MILLICENT HIGH SCHOOL ‘Providing Pathways to the Future’ VET/INDUSTRY PATHWAYS At Millicent High School we’ve best equip students for their future by offering a diverse range of learning of academic and trade based. Enquire now to learn more about the diverse course options we have on offer including; Engineering, Automotive and Construction, Fashion and Textiles, Conservation and Land Management and a range of TAFE courses; Aged Care; Hairdressing, Beauty Services, Information Technology, Electro Technology, Children’s Services and Rural Operations. Courses are delivered both on site and at Millicent and Mount Gambier TAFE campuses. MATHEMATICS, SCIENCE & AGRICULTURE A broad range of academic and extra-curricular opportunities are available to students at MHS as part of our Mathematics and Science Programs, including: • Differentiated and hands-on Maths and Science lessons to cater for diverse learning needs. • An extensive permaculture garden, conservation of native fi sh and plant species and broad range of animals in our Agriculture Centre. Students in Yr 8 also raise their own chicken! • A weekly numeracy intervention program and Maths Club to extend and support learning. • 7 students from MHS have won scholarships to travel to London to attend the Royal Institute of Science. MILLICENT COMMUNITY LEARNING CENTRE Millicent Community Learning Centre offers alternative learning programs in a supportive environment for students. Our aim is to engage students who struggle with traditional education. Student programs are individually tailored with a primary focus on completing the SACE Certifi cate and teaching skills to gain employment or continue training. HPE FACULTY Come and experience the strong sporting focus at Millicent High School with a long and decorated history of both individual and team performances. We offer a variety of opportunities for students to further develop and enhance their sporting abilities with active involvement in Swimming and Athletic Carnivals, Knockout and 9-A-Side Sporting Competitions and various other sporting activities. Our strong community ties with a diverse range of local Sporting Associations allows us to offer fi rst class facilities and specialised coaching.
