Police subsequently stopped the car containing four occupants on Williams Road, Millicent, and potential break-in implements were found during a search. However, 100 years later there is reported use of chemical weapons in Syria, causing great international concern. Chemical weapons expert Keith Wilson will explore chemical weapons, how to prevent further use in modern day conflict and what progress has been made to work towards a chemical weaponsfree world. Mr Wilson is a former head of the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons Government Relations Branch and currently senior international trade law counsellor for University of Adelaide’s Institute for International Trade. He is also a volunteer with Red Cross as a member of the International Humanitarian Law Committee. A tour bus will leave from the Mount Gambier Library at 1pm on Saturday or from the Tantanoola Tiger Hotel from 1.30pm. The bus trip from Mount Gambier is $10 per person. His free talk will be held in the Main Corner dress circle from 7.15pm on Thursday. Question time will be included and light refreshments will be served.
