Chloe Dawson has been HOPEFUL WIN: Tantanoola’s Casey Arney will hope to get the upper hand on Port MacDonnell this weekend. playing impressive netball this season and is a stand out in Robe’s defence, along with Kimberley Austin. Dawson and Austin will have to work hard against the skill and accuracy of Hayley Agnew and Ebony Clark. This will be the match of the round, with the Roosters taking the points. Nangwarry v Kalangadoo WITH the Magpies’ winning streak continuing, the Saints will have a tough fight this weekend. Kalangadoo won convincingly in the teams’ last clash, but the Saints will be looking to minimise the margin on Saturday. Nangwarry’s Nicole Biszco has been shooting confidently, however she will need to work hard to get possession this weekend against the skill of Kalangadoo’s Leah Ousey. Youngster Tayla McKeon has had a number of runs in the A grade for the Saints and she works well through the mid-court. Nangwarry’s mid-court will be pushed to the limit against the speed and consistency of Jayde Peacock. Danni McKinnon has previously stepped into the A grade for the Saints and could hit the court again this weekend. She works with skill and persistence to maintain possession for her team and this will be the key to Nangwarry’s game as it comes up against the tight defence and skilful play of Kalangadoo. The Pies will take the points this weekend, while the Saints will fight hard and test some new combinations. Tantanoola v Port MacDonnell THE ladder would suggest the Demons should take out the win against Tantanoola. However, the last time they met – the Tigers went down by seven – so it will not come easy. Port MacDonnell has shown consistent advancement throughout the minor round, while the Tantanoola has had mixed results. Marie Lewis works hard on the attacking wing for the Demons and she will be well matched against the Tigers’ Talana Knaggs this weekend. The Demons have been dominant in the goal circle this season, and will use this to their advantage in the clash with Tantanoola. Simone Little works tirelessly in defence for the Tigers, however she will find it tough against the quick movements of Toni Gilmore. At the other end of the court, Port MacDonnell will have the height advantage, which will force the Tantanoola goalies to shoot with accuracy on their first attempt. The Demons will take the points this weekend and will look to stretch the previous margin to improve their percentage. Kongorong v Hatherleigh HATHERLEIGH took a solid win over the Hawks in the last clash and the Eagles will be looking to dominate again this Saturday. Kongorong has been impressive in the goal circle with young Tabatha Sanderson being a stand out player each week. Ash Sturges has shot with accuracy when required for the Hawks. However, both goalies will need to be on their game with Eagles’ Georgina Brooks and Kaitlin Smith rebounding with strength. Through the centre court area Hatherleigh’s Erin Watson will be well matched against the Hawks’ Courtney Pink as both drive with speed and agility. Tiia Pelkonen has been pivotal on the defensive wing for Kongorong and she will have to work hard this weekend against Kelsey Bromley who has the edge with her experience. Hatherleigh will take the points this Saturday. www.thesoutheasterntimes.com.au 644421
