Eight staff from the Elders Millicent branch were kept busy all day. With 400 registered bidders, a bidding “frenzy” led to a near-total clearance across the range of items, including electrical and workshop tools, shelving, automotive parts, butchering accessories, shearing equipment, garden products and marine supplies. A total of 470 lots were sold over six hours by auctioneers David Little, Rick Grimes and Mark Little. “We knew it was going to be a big day,” David Little said. “There was no way we were going to finish selling before dark unless we utilised three auctioneers and sold continuously without designated breaks during the day. “The vendor and Elders selling agents sincerely thank the crowd who patronised and supported the sale, making it a very successful day in all areas.” Some of the quirky items purchased on the day were a home-made smokehouse for $50, a cray cooker for $140, a motor for fitting to an amusement putt-putt boat for $210 and a honey extractor for $120. The Millicent Lions Club was allocated catering duties with their food van on site offering a variety of hot foods and refreshments. Demand was strong for their wares and several top-up trips into Millicent were required to keep up the supply. Can my child access the NDIS? What happens when we meet with someone from the NDIS?
