1 NEWS2 Performer returns to South East Country music artist schedules two appearances across region ALBY Pool, who performed his only South Australian show at Rendelsham in March, has been lured back to the South East once again to strut his stuff. He will appear at the Millicent and District Community Club from 8pm on July 25 and at an “in house” lounge room concert at 2pm the following day at the Yahl home of Sandra Humphries. Both shows will be supported by well-known South East entertainers Sandra Humphries and Allan Webster. Alby is likely to be one of the most under-rated country music artists in Australia, and there is no secret as to why he continues to make his mark with the release of nine albums, which makes his popularity even more pronounced. Alby has an easy delivery of many styles of country music, especially western swing, and his genial personality puts his audience at ease right away. Sandra Humphries is a singer/ songwriter who has lived and breathed country music from a very young age. This is evident in the way she delivers her songs, and some have compared her with her idols, Loretta Lynn, Tammy Wynette, with a little Emmy Lou Harris thrown in. Sandra has her own unique music artists, Sandra has gained a vast amount of experience in performing for the crowd. Well-known Millicent enter- tainer Allan Webster needs no introduction although he seldom performs locally unless he is supporting other visiting high profile guest artists or running one of his numerous fundraising events. Allan makes every effort to keep the live music happening, whether it be with solo artists or full bands. Swapping the old Mersey Sound for a country twang in the late ‘90s proved to be a wise career move for Allan and he regularly tours most states and New Zealand. Singing country comes naturally to Allan and he always receives favourable comments regarding his performances. He sometimes likes to throw in a bit of humour, but still remains professional in his attitude.
