ADVERTISING FEATURE educa &tion IT HAS now been almost 18 months since AXIS Employment began offering its Disability Employment Service to job seekers and businesses throughout the Limestone Coast. And in this time, AXIS Employment has gone from strength to strength and is now firmly established in the South East community. Opening its doors for the first time in the region on February 3 2013, the organisation continues to build on its impressive and dedicated service - both with its job seekers and the successful and ongoing relationship with businesses. AXIS Employment has working relationships with over 100 businesses from Bordertown, Keith, Naracoorte, Mount Gambier, Robe, Beachport and Millicent and is always aiming to create fresh relationships with new and established businesses across the region by constantly meeting with business owners and managers through the marketing of its job seekers. AXIS Employment understands how important and life changing it can be when they help job seekers reach their goal of gaining open employment. Whether through AXIS marketing, successful interview training or the job seekers taking part in their own personal development, the organisation prides itself on placing job seekers in positons that suit their skills, interests or past study or training they may have previously undertaken. It is not simply about just getting the job – it is about focussing on the benefits and rewards that the job seekers of all ages and abilities gain from successful employment. “Since opening our doors in February 2013, the AXIS staff have been driven to provide the best service possible for our job seekers and helping them on their path to success,” South East manager Rod Versteegh said. “Our results have shown that our job seekers can establish themselves in employment and produce excellent results for their employer – and in turn the employers have provided them with an opportunity to grow as people. “Through our complete service, we have developed many long lasting and significant relationships with many businesses and this continues to thrive today.” AXIS Employment has produced outstanding results in regional Victoria for over 20 years and services the Grampians district, Ballarat, Bendigo, Mildura and Swan Hill. Mr Versteegh said he was proud to be part of a successful organisation that has a clear focus on inspiring and empowering people through employment. “The results from the organisation as a whole has been extremely encouraging and the South East has certainly provided the service AXIS Employment is known for,” he said. AXIS Employment is located at 40 Helen Street Mount Gambier and also has offices in Naracoorte, Millicent and Bordertown. www.thesoutheasterntimes.com.au St Mark’s College Careers Inspiring and empowering people through employment in the South East St Mark’s College is more than just a place to live A FORMER Dean of St Mark’s College once said that “at university you’ll get a qualification…at St Mark’s College you’ll get an education.” St Mark’s College has been enriching the lives of students since 1925 though an exceptional residential and learning experience. Located in North Adelaide, St Mark’s combines the best of tradition with a modern and progressive outlook. In 2015 the College will open its brand new East Wing building which will include modern student accommodation, a fully-equipped gymnasium and a state-of-the-art Academic Centre. The Centre will provide students with an integrated library and IT hub, group tutorial rooms and access to the College’s special collections and rare books. This development will place St Mark’s College at the forefront of student accommodation in South Australia. St Mark’s College not only offers students an exceptional residential experience, but is committed to the personal and academic wellbeing of all residents. Liam Hay from Naracoorte, now in his second year of Engineering at the University of Adelaide said “I had heard from family friends that St Mark’s was a great place to live where I would be part of a strong community and would be supported in every way”.
